Is it me or do they not understand basic Maths? " Generation Rent, has rightly warned that landlords selling properties is ‘a leading cause of homelessness.’" Now if I have a family living in my house paying rent and for whatever reason I sell the property, a different family now live in the house. Net homelessness= zero. I agree that landlords selling up is a leading cause of reducing the number of properties available to rent but that is not the same thing as homelessness.

I remember some politician twit saying exactly the same quote only that time it was aimed at Teachers.

Statistically since only 7% of landlords accept pets, Daniel C must be referring to 93% of landlords when he calls us money grubbing! Most of you quote cats and dogs but I had to replace carpets and a chunk of skirting board after my tenants let their pet rabbit loose. Anyway - much ado about nothing - I wrote to my MP about this (why don't you since there appears to be no equivalent to Shelter fighting for us) and the answer I got was that "the MTA is an optional agreement and... landlords WILL NOT be put in a position where they accept a pet where they do not want to" and " The government has no plans at this time to amend the law relating to pets"

I have a query - is a referendum based on lies and deception on both sides a 'democratic' decision? As far as I can see as a remainer after much thought on the matter the only party supporting my views (and we were roughly half the voters in that referendum) is the Lib Dems since the Labour Party is sitting on the fencew as usual.
