Of course Labour will not introduce rent controls. Labour are totally controlled by global corporate capital. That is who they work for. Global corporate capital is investing in big Build to Rent schemes. The game is to wipe out as many small landlords as possible, replace them with corporate capital funded Build to Rent schemes, and then INCREASE rents!! When you understand the game, it's easy to predict what will happen next. As an addition; all political opposition is CONTROLLED OPPOSITION. That applies everywhere.

The delay in ending Section 21 is not mismanagement it is deliberate government policy to create confusion and worry about the ending of Section 21 and inadequate Court procedures hoping many landlords will sell up. It is the government's intention to remove most private landlords and replace them with global capital funded Build to Rent schemes or other investment vehicles. Corporate capitalism can't make money and is dying so the game is to take over private capital businesses and create a neo-feudalism where "they" own everything & the masses rent everything. Never forget the World Economic Forum (WEF) advert & catchphrase: "you'll own nothing & be happy." And a Labour government will be even worse; they are even more in bed with global capital than the Tories who at least have some old school conservatives in their party.

Agree. The legal system is not fit for purpose. Fundamental reform required.

The worst part of all this government policy is targeting SMALL landlords. Note that the 3% extra stamp duty doesn't apply to those with more than 15 properties!!!! Since when did governments deliberately act against small businesses in favour of large ones?? And I thought small business owners were the bedrock of Conservative Party support! Seems government policy is to corporatise private rented sector; eliminate small landlords in favour of institutional landlords. I am fed up with the behaviour of big corporates (don't you love the banks) and government acting together. So Labour and the Tories are against small landlords; what does Mr Farage have to say? I think there is a political opportunity here and I don't think he'd ignore it!
