New online tool allows landlords to earn money when tenants switch utilities

A new utility management and transfer tool, available to both landlords and letting agents, has been launched by LetHQ.

The company, which specialises in providing tenant referencing and rent guarantee insurance, now allows clients to inform utility providers of new tenant move ins or if they vacate the property.

All utility providers can be informed including those for power, water, council tax and broadband.

The features are accessed via the LetHQ online dashboard and can further benefit and assist users with a faster and smoother moving process. Landlords can even manage their void periods.

Furthermore, basic tenant details can also be referred and the team will help not only assist with the transferring of providers but will also shop around to find the best possible deals on the market for them.

Should a new tenant be persuaded to switch provider, LetHQ will provide incentives to their clients by paying them a quarterly commission of £20 per switch.
