England football star scores at upcoming expo for landlords

Former England footballer turned TV pundit and property expert Dion Dublin is to headline this month’s South East Property Expo.

The centre forward - who played for Manchester United, Aston Villa and Coventry City among others - is keynote speaker at the free event for homebuyers, sellers, developers, investors, landlords and anyone with an interest in property.

Held annually, the not-for-profit expo organised by law firm Thackray Williams attracts hundreds of guests, with past speakers including TV adventurer Ben Fogle and consumer champion Dom Littlewood.

Dublin leads a line-up of industry experts sharing the tips and tricks of the trade this year including buy to let mentor Dan Coachafer; John-Paul Rafferty, who has spent 20-plus years in the industry as an estate agent, mortgage advisor, landlord and developer; and ‘professional organisers’ Hayley Harrison and Gemma Abraham, who specialise in decluttering, de-stressing and redesigning homes.

Roger McKerlie, founder and co-owner of the Environmental Business Network, and Marion Money from the National Residential Landlords Association are also among the speakers.

Sean Sanders, managing partner at Thackray Williams, says: “The expo is now in its fifth year and is a must for anyone with an interest in property, from first time buyers right through to experienced developers.

“Guests tell us they always learn something new and the line-up is so varied that I know there will be something for everyone.”

The event is on September 19 at The Bat & Ball Centre, Sevenoaks.

Day passes are free and available from the South East Property Expo website.
