Free Tax Advice for landlords at property networking event

A forum for private landlords, letting agents and anyone else on the management side of the private rental sector is being organised win May 23. 

The next Rent Smart Devon event will take place on Thursday, May 23  from 2pm until 7pm at Exeter Racecourse, Haldon Hill, Exeter, EX6 7XS.

The day will include exhibitions from specialist companies covering many aspects of property management, tax advice, as well as support organisations available to help smooth the tenancy pathway.

East Devon council officers will also be on hand to answer questions on housing benefits and support for tenants.

There will also be a range of specialist talks for landlords with question and answers covering the Renters Reform Bill; understanding damp and mould; energy and financialissues.

A council spokesperson says:  “Rent Smart Devon is a great free event for residential landlords and property agents to get the latest advice and information from a wide range of businesses supporting private landlords and property agents.

“There will be exhibition stands; free bitesize talks on a wide range of topics and landlords will be able to meet EDDC teams including housing options and benefits to talk about housing benefits and support for tenants.

“Rent Smart Devon is the best opportunity for landlords to keep up to date and network with businesses supporting landlords. We look forward to welcoming landlords to Rent Smart Devon on May 23.”
