Deliver 50,000 new properties ready to move into by the end of 2021, Ensure no properties are left empty and unused, Ensure that all key workers have access to accommodation, Ensure that we increase the proportion of social and affordable housing across the capital, Ensure that no-one needs to be homeless across our capital. Generation Rent, what a disgraceful lot you are! Whilst the Government are failing to build thousands of new housing every year the Local Authorities are constantly attacking LL's. Whoever said that property investing was easy money? Whilst TV programmes like Homes Under The Hammer are doing a wonderful job at helping to educate who would deny the entrepreneurship in developing sustainable housing which is affordable and well managed? Only a thankless idiot! Whether it's thick and lazy gits or not, HMO's certainly have their place in society!

The Councils are responsible for a lot and often do it good but they also can make mistakes and in my experience they are quick to act when it suits them. They should do some more detective work first before pursuing Landlords for unpaid Council Tax. Often they will find that they received a letter to them explaining the situation but someone at the Council has misplaced it and now it looks like the Lettings Agent or the Landlord is at fault. The Council then decides to overreact and take the Landlord to Court when they should do their home work first before it reaches that stage or making an accusation. (Hull City Council)

Oh no Labour, and Covid is no excuse for Tenants not to pay their rent. I will be waiting on getting my 3 months rent paid back as it should. Does the Government allow people to keep their working tax credits if they have been overpaid? Hmm think no! So make sure if you bring in some stupid legislation in favour of the Tenants that you can guarantee any rent being paid by them. Thank god your not running the country. Better the devil we know.

Shelter are a total disgrace, avoid them like the plague, donate nothing to their fat salaries from donated cash. All they care about is helping scroungers to avoid paying their rent. Instead of Tenants spending their income on Iphones, cigarettes, alcohol and netflix they should start to live within their means like most Landlords. If Tenants are able to pay rent in arrears then Landlords should be able to waive the remaining lease term and to cover any rent arrears with the deposit as well as terminate the lease earlier.

I use a Lettings Agent who also acts as my Sourcer and overall Property Manager 24/7 complete with Power Team. I can't be bothered with headaches. I only want property as an investment and not a Job strategy.

The Govt tried to ruin it for LL. They tried to kill property investing over the last few years BUT the smart LL are more successful and wealthier than they have ever been before! The media have changed their tune completely from BTL doom and gloom to: Why the Govt attack on BTL LL's has completely backfired! Right from the start when George Osborne (2016) announced that LL's would no longer be able to claim mortgage payments as tax deductible. Everyone was OMG what are we going to do? The smart LL's decided to set up LTD Companies so Section 24 rules do not apply. First Time Buyers were told they were going to get help but instead rents shot up and it has made LL's RICHER! LL's started to do Serviced Accommodation BUT now the Govt are unhappy that some smart LL's are doing that claiming that there are not enough properties for Tenants and rents have shot up! Same old story by the Govt, making the RICH RICHER and the POOR POORER! These are the guys who make up the rules and they are also the property investors among us. All the people who held off buying property because of BREXIT were just plain stupid. RICH or POOR, you make the choice! Get Educated!
