If suppliers feel so strongly for tenants they can supply them with a credit line so they make bills easier. Its amazing how everything must be provided by the landlord / have they forgotten the government ?

Absolutely and completely disgusting to even suggest this. Already been winding down some of the portfolio and I will continue to do so... Landlords time to wind down all our portfolios and sick it properly to renters and the market.

Finally the government is going after rogue landlords and not all of them!! They must be targeted and finned massively since they undercut decent landlords for abnormal profits and cause a massive nuissance.

As usual the government does not give a dam about landlords and only about the poor tenants. Has the stupid government forgotten about leases or do they not know they exist? Numerous Flat Leases prohibit animals in apartments - so if they are prohibited by the lease how can the landlord be forced to break the covenants of their head lease just for the tenant?

Since Landlords own the property should not their views be taken into consideration. If renters want to establish routes in communities they have a very simple - PURCHASE THEIR OWN APARTMENT / HOUSE. If councils have so many opinions on what landlords do - why don't they purchase buildings and enter the rental sector. Frankly this is just ridiculous and will move more landlords to move out the of rental sector. I myself am slowly divesting my portfolio of properties.

Finally some sensible ideas. Buy back ex council housing and why not build MORE COUNCIL housing instead of continuously targeting landlords.

This is ridiculous, and as usual try and squeeze landlords who find it harder to get out of the sector. But I know so so many landlords who have left the rental sector, I wonder who the government will blame then - once stocks of housing dips. Rents will increase even further, because of their ridiculous policies.
