I asked our local Council about starting a Register of Bad Tenants and was told it was against their human rights.......! What about the human rights of landlords??

This is all very well, but the tenants can vote with their feet. What we REALLY need is a list of BAD TENANTS - you know the ones - when they come to view your property they are the nicest, sweetest people on earth - then they stop paying rent and it takes months and a lot of money to get them out only to find the place trashed and you have to spend £5k or more refurbishing the place AGAIN. Come on Local Authorities - do something positive and help protect the people who are providing all the rented accommodation that is badly needed.
