Guidance on Possession Process changes to reflect Covid relaxations

The government has issued revised guidelines for the possession process in the private and social rented sectors in the light of new advice over self-isolation and Covid.

The latest guidance, which applies to England and Wales, follows on from the removal of the legal obligation to self-isolate due to Covid-19.

You will no longer be legally required to self-isolate if you test positive for the virus - instead, people who test positive are advised to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

You will no longer be legally required to self-isolate if you are an unvaccinated close contact, and will no longer be advised to test for seven days if you are a fully vaccinated close contact.
