An appeal has gone out to private landlords to lease their properties to a council seeking to boost its supply of emergency accommodation for the homeless.
Cartrefi Hafod - a social housing organisation working with Bridgend council - sources properties from landlords to use as temporary accommodation in that area as well as Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taf and the Vale of Glamorgan.
It has launched a dedicated website to answer any questions landlords may have.
Nicola Meredith, property acquisition surveyor at Hafod, says: “Cartrefi Hafod provides temporary housing solutions for homeless individuals and families referred to us by the local authority.
“If you are a private landlord, the private rent leasing scheme offers one to three-year lease agreements, guaranteed rent and a full management service.”
